NEC Launches CVE Campaign for By-Elections in Gbarnga July 17th, 2018

Ahead of the July 31, 2018 By-Elections for Bong and Montserrado Counties, the National elections Commission has embarked on a vigorous Civic and Voters Education (CVE) campaign to afford voters the needed knowledge to vote properly on Election Day, July 31. On Tuesday July 17, the Commission, through its Chairman Cllr. Jerome Korkoya, officially launched a colorful CVE campaign in Gbarnga, Bong County with hundreds of voters, of all walks of life, in attendance.

The Commission will shortly launch the CVE campaign in Monrovia. Besides the civic educators and gender mobilizers that are deployed in the two counties for the CVE purposes, as well as the various public service radio programs, the Commission is collaborating with the Liberia Media for Democratic Initiative (LMDI), of veteran journalist John Kollie, for a robust CVE campaign ahead of the By-Elections.
