The National Elections Commission, (NEC) has vacancy it its Gender Section for the position of DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF GENDER. Successful applicant will be assigned at the Commission’s Headquarters in Monrovia.

Requirements:  

1. Applicant must be able to work with others as team player
2. He/she must be able to work alone and under strenuous condition.
3. Applicant must work with courtesy and professionalism at the NEC headquarters.
4. Applicant must be willing to travel across the country when required.

 Terms of Reference:

Under the supervision of the Gender Director, the Deputy Gender Director shall perform the following duties:

• Work with the Gender Director to devise, formulate, and implement all projects and programs that will mainstream gender in electoral management body.

• Assist in the scouting for technical support and contributory effects by international partners and the gender section.

• Assist the section in the conduct of workshops, trainings and seminars with gender mainstreaming contents.

• Design and produce gender sensitive materials for the promotion of gender equality in Elections.
• Perform all other activities as prescribed by the Board of Commissioners, (BOC).

Qualification, Experience and required skills

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology / Social Science or other relevant degrees.

• Must have minimum of 5 years of progressively working experience in social work.

• Must have plaining and organizing skills

• Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines

• Knowledge in project writing, with good writing skills

• Excellent in critical thinking and problem solving.

• Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly.
